3)    You might surprise yourself! Students in this class are often pleasantly surprised with the quality of the work they produce, when given a combination of space constraints and lots inspiration.

4)    You can experiment with many different styles, moods, and themes.

5)    Writing a flash piece is a shorter time commitment. And in today’s hectic world, who doesn’t love that?

6)    Flash can especially moving, powerful, and transformative—for both the writer and reader. Again, there is something about the brevity and intense focus of flash that packs quite a punch.
