Description: Join us for the Redbud Writing Project’s annual one-day winter revision retreat in the historic and charming town of Warrenton. Arshia and Emily will kick off the day with a mix of prompts, lectures, brainstorming, and activities designed to inspire you and get you revising. In the afternoon, writers will have time to work on their projects by themselves, as well as the opportunity to gather in outdoor spaces or to take a short stroll to a downtown coffeeshop. After lunch, you’ll have one-on-one meetings with the instructors to help guide you through the sticking points of your writing project as well as guided writing exercises to help you gain momentum.
We’ll wrap up the day with a gathering around a fire pit and a book swap.
This retreat is ideal for writers who are working on revising a project, whether a novel or a short story, but writers who do not have a piece to revise are welcome too. Give yourself or a loved one the gift of time, space, and guidance to write.
Snacks and drinks will be provided--make sure to bring a brown bag lunch too!
This retreat is made possible due to the generous hospitality of Ben Hunter.
