Christina Leo is a writer and editor based in Raleigh. Much of her published writing centers around extraordinary stories of ordinary Southerners, having spent most of her career in magazine publishing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, before and after earning an MFA from the University of Notre Dame, where she was a Sparks Fellow. Accustomed to writing and editing a wide variety of prose genres, she has also gleaned experience from the world of academic presses, literary journals, educational curricula, and NYC literary agencies. Her creative writing has been nominated for the PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers and can be found in the Oxford American, Witness, and Salamander, where it won the 2019 Fiction Prize.
